Orange County YMCA

Working a 2-4 hour shift once a week in their Children’s' Learning Garden, volunteers will help till soil, weed, aerate soil, making sure the garden is healthy and well maintained. They've recently built a garden to encourage healthy living and healthy eating, and now they need people with gardening experience to help the kids maintain the garden. Volunteer’s will make a positive impact on the participants of their childcare program through actions, acting as a role-model for children at the site you volunteer at , supervise watering, assist in developing lesson plans related to the garden with site-staff, work with children utilizing patience, warmth, common-sense, and non- judgmental attitude, and much more! They have the tools and seeds, now they just need you! Click here to get involved.
